Pods by Future Rooms supplied two fully specified Retreat Pods for Croft Farm Water Park in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
Each pod measured 10m x 4m x 4m and was designed for use as lakeside glamping accommodation. The pods included a mezzanine level, shower room, kitchenette, living space and sleeping areas.
The pods are part of Croft Farm Water Park’s Lakeside Cabins, giving guests self-contained accommodation with lake views, decking, and hot tub areas.
Retreat Pods with Mezzanine Levels
These were larger Retreat Pods, built with a steel chassis and lifting frame, complete SIP panel construction and vented cavities.
Each pod included a mezzanine level with a spiral staircase, caberdeck floor structure, vinyl plank flooring and balustrades. This gave the cabins extra sleeping space without increasing the on-site footprint.
The specification also included anthracite steel sheets on the sides and roof, Western Red Cedar cladding on the front elevation, and Thermowood cladding on the rear.
Fitted Interior and Guest Facilities
The pods were supplied with a full shower room, including a shower, tray and screen, WC, wash hand basin, extractor fan and electric towel rail.
The kitchenette included a microwave, four-ring LPG hob, LPG single oven, integral full-size fridge freezer and sink. A storage cupboard was also included.
Inside, the pods used decorative MDF on the side walls, redwood cladding on the remaining internal walls, and water-resistant vinyl plank flooring.
Decking, Hot Tub Area and Glazing
The glazing specification included 2.4m sliding patio doors with integral grey venetian blinds, a single traffic door to the left-hand side, a bedroom landscape window, two full-height windows with half openers and a triangular feature window.
Each pod also included a slip-resistant decked step, an additional 7m x 3m decked area and a covered hot tub area measuring 4.5m x 3m.
The hot tub area included a SIP rear wall with metal profile sheeting, metal roof sheeting, plastic timber supports, powder-coated box steel frame supports and guttering to ground.
For Croft Farm Water Park, the finished pods provide larger self-contained glamping cabins with sleeping space, cooking facilities, shower rooms, decking and covered hot tub areas.
