We supplied and installed this 5m x 2.7m Classic Sleeping Pod for Bowmoor Pods in Lechlade, Gloucestershire.
The pod was built for glamping accommodation and manufactured at our factory before being transported to site as a whole. Once delivered, it was craned into position, reducing the amount of work needed on site.
The finished pod has larch cladding to the front and rear, a Burnt Umber Metrotile finish to the roof and sides, and an extended decked entrance area.
External and Internal Finishes
The front and rear elevations were finished in larch cladding. The pod also included Golden Oak UPVC double-glazed single doors, white internally, along with an 800mm x 800mm opening window to the rear wall.
An LED light was fitted to the overhang, and a solar charging kit with a 100Ah deep-cycle leisure battery was installed as part of the specification.
Inside, the pod was finished with redwood cladding to the internal walls, three LED lights, a commercial-grade vinyl floor and a battery-operated smoke detector. These details give the pod a practical finish for guest use while keeping the interior simple and warm.
The Finished Pod
The completed sleeping pod provides Bowmoor Pods with a ready-to-use glamping unit featuring a strong timber finish inside and out.
Built in the factory, transported whole and craned into position, it was a straightforward installation for the site. The larch exterior, redwood interior, solar charging kit, and decked entrance make it well-suited to rural glamping accommodation.
