At Pods By Future Rooms, we design and manufacture a versatile range of stunning and unique insulated pods throughout the UK. Our pods offer a range of options and uses for glamping sites in the UK, from fully finished pods delivered to your site to DIY/flat-pack pod kits for construction by you or your builder.
Our traditional and modular pods are built to order and specification by our experienced team using the highest-quality materials in our on-site workshop.
They’re ideal as ancillary accommodation for glamping sites, activity centres, hotels, leisure businesses, public houses, sports clubs, educational organisations and schools, offering different styles, sizes and features to suit every requirement, budget and area.

Traditional-Style
Our traditional glamping pods are built to order and specification using the highest quality materials. Each of our glamping pod models has an open-plan space, with doors to the front and a stylish, curved roof.
Modular Pods
These prefabricated modular pods are constructed by the team in our workshop before being delivered to your UK site and craned into place for your contractor to connect to the services.
DIY
Our range of flat-pack pods has been designed to be constructed by a builder or competent DIYer. We offer our DIY pod kits in a ‘shell & external’ form with the option of the internal finishes kit.
FAQs
1. Can you make bespoke-sized pods?
Yes, all of our pods are made to order and can usually be made in the size and specification required. The dimensions stated on our models can be varied within reason, dependent on the size of your space.
2. Am I able to upgrade my Pod with selected extras?
Yes. You can choose from a range of standard and extra features to get the exact pod you want.
3. How long will my Pod take to build?
The delivery date will depend on the time of year and how busy our work diary is. Usually pods can be delivered to your site between 8 and 12 weeks from the date of the order.
Do I need planning permission?
We recommend that you seek guidance from your local planning authority. We can offer assistance to your planning advisor.
Does my pod need a foundation?
Through our experience, we have found that many customers intend for the pods to be transportable; therefore, a full concrete foundation is not always necessary, and we will discuss the most appropriate base for the site.
We always recommend a solid surface to site your pod(s), as some of the larger pods can weigh approximately 3 tonnes. Please call our office to discuss.
Will the cladding need to be treated and maintained?
Thermowood and cedar will weather and silver over time but are maintenance-free. Natural timber cladding will fade through time, so oiling it can help to maintain its great aesthetic look.
What glazing options can you offer?
All our pods come with UPVC glazing. The colours vary according to the range you choose. We can also offer an upgrade to aluminium if required, and we frequently install variations of size and type of windows, depending on the size of the pod.”
8. Does my installation include connection to mains electricity supply?
No. All of our pods are installed and ready for connection to mains electricity; however, you will need to arrange for the supply to be brought to the pod.
What if the property/land is not easily accessible?
If the area you want your pod in isn’t accessible, our modular kits are probably the answer. These kits come as a set of pre-cut panels that are easily assembled by a competent installer. Please take a look at our DIY Pod page.
10. Will you travel anywhere in the UK?
Yes. Delivery charges will apply depending on location.
DELIVERY THROUGHOUT THE UK
Depending on the access to your site, our pods are either fully built and delivered to your site and craned into place, or we can supply DIY/flat-pack pod kits for your contractor to install, which are ideal for sites that are less accessible. We deliver your pod to the site you have prepared, ready for your contractor to connect it to your electricity supply and water system.
